FAQ



All of our products are designed in-house by NYC Bird Alliance and made especially for you by a third-party company chosen for its sustainability. As a conservation organization, sustainability is important to us; instead of being produced in bulk, our products are made "on demand." Once you place an order, it will be printed specifically for you, thereby reducing overproduction. This means it may take a little longer for you to receive your order, but we thank you for joining us in these thoughtful purchasing practices.


My Order

Where is my order? Once you have placed your order, you will receive a confirmation email from NYC Bird Alliance Please note that the email address will be associated with "bigcartel.email". Once your order has shipped, you will receive a second email with tracking information.

Can I change my order? Once your order has been placed it cannot be changed.

Can I rush my order? Unfortunately, no.

How fast are orders shipped? All of our products are made on demand to reduce overproduction. Orders are typically printed and produced within 3-5 business days.

How long does shipping take? Delivery times depend on mailing location, but typically take between 3-5 business days. 

How much is shipping? Shipping costs depend on the items you order and your mailing address. Shipping is calculated at checkout. 

Do you ship outside the U.S.? No, we do not ship outside the U.S.

Is my purchase tax-deductible? No. However, you can learn more about supporting NYC Bird Alliance’s conservation and advocacy work with a tax-deductible donation at nycbirdalliance.org/donate.


Discounts 

Do I get a discount as a NYC Bird Alliance member? Yes! Current direct members of NYC Bird Alliance receive a 10% discount. It is emailed to you when you join or renew as a member, and it is also emailed by [email protected] in advance of members' early access registration for outings and classes each spring and fall. If you would like the code resent to you, please email [email protected]

Returns and Exchanges 

My order is wrong or damaged. What can you do? If an item is broken or fulfilled incorrectly, please contact our product manufacturer Printful at [email protected]. You can request a replacement or refund within 30 days of delivery, and Printful will correct the error free of charge.

How do I exchange my order? Given our limited inventory and “on demand” production, we are unable to offer exchanges. If you are unhappy with an item, please consider gifting it to a fellow bird-lover. 

How do I return an item? We want you to wear and carry NYC Bird Alliance merchandise with pride. Because we have limited staff and time, we hope you’ll consider gifting unwanted items to other birders instead of returning the product. However, if you really need to return the item, you can email [email protected].
